Doug Ferguson

I started my operation from scratch in 1999 with only a few thousand dollars. In 2005 I attended a sell/buy marketing class taught by Ann Barnhardt. After leaning how to market cattle in this manner I grew my operation into a full-time endeavor. Due to the success I had with sell/buy marketing I was pushed to start teaching it in 2020. Stockers are the main enterprise on my operation, along with marketing hay. I do occasionally trade breeding stock. I am married to Amber and together we have a 13 year old daughter. Over 5 years I was asked to write a weekly column on sell/buy marketing that can be found on BEEF Magazine's website, titled Doug's Market Intel.
